Philip Evans joins Fidelity Investments Canada Limited in Toronto as executive vice-president. He comes from Altamira Management in Toronto, where he was chief operating officer. In his new role, Evans is a member of the executive committee of Fidelity Canada, with broad responsibilities including investment development, marketing and institutional sales and relationship management.

Sylvain Boulé is promoted to president and chief executive officer at Montrusco Bolton Inc. in Montreal. Previously, he was vice-president and chief operating officer.

Scott Aguais joins Algorithmics Incorporated in Toronto as director, credit risk solutions. Also at Algorithmics, Larry Forest is now senior financial engineer, credit risk solutions. Both come from the risk solutions practice at KPMG.

David Jonas joins PanAgora Asset Management in Boston, Mass. as director of sales and marketing for third-party distribution. Most recently, Jonas was regional vice-president, institutional sales at Neuberger Berman Management Inc. in New York City. Also at PanAgora, Gregory Peterson joins as research manager. He comes from Independence Investment Associates Inc. in Boston, where he was vice-president, quantitative analyst, domestic equities.

Deborah McCombe joins the Ontario Securities Commission in the newly created position of chief mining consultant in the corporate finance branch. She comes from the engineering and consulting firm Watts, Griffis and McOuat, where she was president.

Cheryl Jones joins Johnston Group (Benefit Plans) Inc. in Scarborough, Ont. as regional director, business development. Previously, she was with Manulife Financial.

Lori Bachman joins Buffett Taylor & Associates Ltd. in Whitby, Ont. as manager, wellness consulting services. She comes from the Centre for Activity and Aging in London, Ont.

Italia Testa joins Watson Wyatt Worldwide in Toronto as manager, regional marketing services. She is from Aon Consulting in Toronto, where she worked as national marketing coordinator.

Wayne Farrow is president of newly formed Synergy Benefits Consulting Inc. in St. Catharines, Ont. The firm specializes in group benefits and pension consulting services. Previously, Farrow was vice-president with Ball Harrison Hansell Employee Benefits Insurance Agency Ltd.
