Investment
Christine Girvan joins ABN AMRO Asset Management in Toronto as vice-president global investments. She comes
from Guardian Capital Inc. in Toronto, where she was vice-president, international investments.
Greg Guichon, Andy Rafelman and Bruce Hartman join the private client money management division at First
Associates Investments in Toronto. All three come from Scotia McLeod. Guichon will head up the new private
client money management team, which has plans to expand into the institutional marketplace.
Mark Weisdorf joins the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in Toronto as vice-president of private market
investments. He comes from HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., where he built the firm's investment banking
business and served as deputy chief executive.
The Canadian Venture Exchange announces five appointments. Angela Huxham is appointed vice-president,
market regulation in Vancouver. Kevan Cowan is appointed vice-president, Toronto. He joins from the former
Canadian Dealing Network. Judie Thom joins as director, business development in Toronto. Matt Bootle comes
to the Calgary office as director, accounting standards. He joins the exchange from Ernst & Young LLP.
Kevin Strong is promoted to manager in Winnipeg. Previously, he worked at the Winnipeg Stock Exchange.
Pension
Sudi Arora joins Manulife Financial in Waterloo, Ont. as assistant vice-president, client services. He
comes from Clarica in Waterloo, where he managed the firm's pension and retail wealth accumulation service
as savings and retirement customer service vice-president.
Frank Bird joins STRATA Benefits Consulting Inc. in Winnipeg as a consultant. In his new role, Bird
provides group insurance and retirement plan consulting services to clients. Previously, he worked at
Investors Group.

Marie Donnelly joins Aon Consulting's communications practice in Toronto as senior consultant. She comes
from Buck Consultants.
Judy Shuttleworth is promoted to executive vice-president, human resources with Telus in Burnaby, B.C.
Shuttleworth is responsible for compensation and benefits, employee reward and development programs and for
developing human resources programs. Previously, she was vice-president, labour relations, and director,
employee relations.
