Yvan Fontaine joins Addenda Capital Inc. in Montreal as portfolio manager, international market. In his new
role, Fontaine will monitor international markets and create and manage an international bond fund.
Previously, he worked at Hydro-Quebec's pension fund, where he was a principal manager. At Addenda in
Toronto, Graeme Thom joins as portfolio manager. Thom will develop and manage a multi-strategy fund, which
will combine active bond management and derivative products. Thom joins Addenda from RBC Securities in
Toronto, where he was a director.
Catherine Marshall joins institutional real estate investment firm LaSalle Investment Management (Canada)
in Vancouver. In her new position as vice-president of research, Marshall is responsible for directing
research efforts in Canada.
CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company in Toronto restructures its securities lending group,
renaming it Global Securities Lending. The new group announces three appointments. Robert Chiuch is
promoted to assistant vice-president and head of global equity trading. Most recently, he was director,
international securities lending. In his new role, Chiuch is responsible for managing the global equity
lending and is co-head of the fixed income business. Rob Ferguson is promoted to assistant vice-president,
product and technology. In his new position, he is responsible for implementing and managing new products
and technologies for the global securities lending group. Mark Howe is appointed director of risk
management and compliance, capital markets. In his new position, he is responsible for identifying,
quantifying, monitoring and managing the various types of risk associated with the business lines of
capital markets.
Bradley Hicks joins Edinburgh Fund Managers in Toronto as business development executive. He comes from RBC
Dominion Securities, where he worked in investment banking. In his new role, Hicks supports the firm's
business development efforts in Canada and the United States. He also joins the servicing team for a number
of North American clients.
YMG Capital Management Inc. in Toronto announces changes to its quantitative investment products group.
Bill Chinery resigns as senior vice-president responsible for quantitative products. The group is now
managed by Tristram Lett, the firm's new vice-president, quantitative investment products. Lett will work
with Bob Moffatt, vice-president and leader of the quantitative investment products group. In his new role,
Lett assumes responsibility for research and product development and for supporting YMG's client service
and business development initiatives. Other members of the quantitative investment products group include
Haili Haynes, vice-president and Luc Lapointe, portfolio manager. Martin Roy assumes responsibility for the
risk management group's day-to-day operations. YMG's risk management group consists of Alex Mestechkin,
vice-president, risk management, Scott McOuat, vice-president, fixed income and Jane-Marie Rocca,
vice-president, fixed income.
Craig Wright is appointed chief economist at Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, replacing John McCallum, who
is now a Liberal member of Parliament. Most recently, Wright was vice-president and deputy chief economist
at the bank.

Michel Cadieux joins ATI Technologies Inc. in Markham, Ont. as vice-president, human resources. He is
responsible for the company's worldwide human resources function, including rewards and recognition and
employee development and learning. He comes from Telemedia Communications Inc., where he was
vice-president, human resources.
Jim Pineau joins the Atlantic regional group office of Manulife Financial as account manager. In his new
position, Pineau will serve the needs of the firm's group benefits clients in the Atlantic provinces.
Ian Clark is appointed president of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc. in Dorval,Que. He comes from the
U.K., where he was chief operating officer, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, responsible for the management of
that division's commercial operations group. In his new role, Clark is responsible for all aspects of the
firm's Canadian pharmaceutical business.
Pension
Anne Williamson joins Corporate Benefits Analysts Inc. in Kitchener, Ont. as pension consultant. She comes
from Babcock & Wilcox Canada Ltd., where she was manager, employee benefits. In her new role,
Williamson provides advice and support to defined benefit and defined contribution pension plan sponsors
with respect to plan design, funding, compliance, administration and employee communication.
Paul Ingram is promoted to director, pension sales and marketing with Clarica in Waterloo, Ont. In his new
role, Ingram will represent the company in the mid-size case group pension marketplace and will co-ordinate
a team of pension sales directors. At Clarica in Vancouver, Karen de Costa is appointed sales director. In
her new position, she is responsible for pension and group savings plan sales and service in British
Columbia, with a focus on defined contribution plans.
