Standard Life undergoes restructuring

Standard Life Assurance Company has announced a major restructuring within the company's Canadian operations.
The changes, effective Dec. 24, 2002, are aimed at combining the marketing and sales operations to develop core product categories and create stronger synergy between the various teams within the company.
Leaving Standard Life is Denis Lussier, senior vice-president, sales, whose retirement as of December 24th 2002 was just announced. New appointments include Alain Brunet, now senior vice-president, marketing and sales for individual markets. Roger Renaud has been appointed senior vice-president, marketing and sales, for group savings but will remain closely linked to Standard Life Investments. Joseph Iannicelli is now senior vice-president, marketing and sales, for group insurance and will be based in the Toronto regional office.
