The Benefits Canada Awards are designed to honour individuals and organizations who have demonstrated leadership and innovation in pension investment and administration, and who have contributed to the retirement security of Canadian employees and their families.

Awards will be granted for outstanding achievement in each of four categories: Plan Sponsor, Plan Member Communication, Volunteer, and Top 40 Money Managers Lifetime Achievement. A panel of judges will determine the winners. The Award winners will be profiled in the November issue of Benefits Canada.

The deadline for entries was Monday, June 30, 2008

Category Descriptions:

Plan Sponsor
Awarded to an individual in a plan sponsor organization who has demonstrated leadership and innovation in pension investment, plan design, administration or governance and who has had an impact on the retirement security of Canadian plan members. (Click here for a nomination form)

Plan Member Communications
Awarded to a plan sponsor organization that has developed innovative, clear and effective strategies for the communication of pension plans and/or investments to plan members. (Click here for a nomination form)

Volunteer
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated dedication and leadership in their voluntary endeavours and whose efforts have had a significant impact on the retirement security of Canadians. (Click here for a nomination form)

Top 40 Money Managers Lifetime Achievement
Awarded to an individual from the pension money management industry who has spent his or her career demonstrating leadership and innovation in pension investment and who has had an impact on the retirement security of Canadian plan members. (Click here for a nomination form)
