Benefits
Aon Consulting has announced
some promotions in its Health & Benefits practice. Yun Suk Kang
and Rick Tessier in Toronto as well as Cathy
Perron in Montreal have all been promoted
to Senior Consultant. Meanwhile,
Noelle Hamersley, Carol O'Leary and Linda Shishis
in Toronto and Martine Simard in Montreal have all been promoted
to Consultant. Also, Alex Diemer has been promoted to Vice-President.
Pensions
The
Ontario Pension Board has apppointed Linda Bowden
as Senior Vice-President, Operations, Paul Edmonds as Senior
Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and General Counsel, and Peter Shena
as Senior Vice-President, Stakeholder Relations and Pension Policy.
Watson Wyatt has
appointed Laura Samaroo as the Western Canada Office Leader
for the firm’s Retirement Practice, effective immediately. She will be
based in the Vancouver office.
In Aon Consulting's Retirement
practice, Alasdair Rew in Toronto and Guillaume Turcotte
in Montreal have both been promoted to Senior Consultant while Philippe
Laplante, Mathieu Laurendeau, François-Gabriel
Lord in Montreal and Lisa Virio in Toronto have all
been promoted to Consultant. Also, Bita Jenab
has been promoted to Senior Vice-President while Thierry Chamberland
and Rosalind (Roz) Gilbert have been promoted to Vice-President.
Investments
Michael Still has joined AGF Asset Management Group
as Vice-President, Business Development, Ontario and Western Canada. He will
focus on building AGF's assets under management from pension plans, charities,
foundations and endowments in Ontario and the western provinces.
Bill Onslow is
a new addition to Addenda Capital's North American equity team
and will take on the position of Portfolio Manager, U.S. Equities. He has 27
years investment experience acquired at Mutual Life of Canada, Altamira Management,
and Natcan Investment Management.
RBC Dexia Investor Services
has appointed Susan Pike as Global Head, Market Products &
Services.
Guardian Capital LP
has made a couple senior staffing changes. George Mavroudis
is now the Chief Executive Officer while J.J. Woolverton has
taken on the new position of Chairman
Scott Scobie has been appointed General Manager of CWT.
He joined Canadian Western Bank three years ago in the role of Managing Director,
Sales & Marketing, CWT.
Colin Ripsman
has joined the institutional portfolio manager team at PH&N
as a Vice-President. He will have responsibilities in the areas of DC thought
leadership and product development and will also have relationship management
responsibilities. Colin will be based in the Toronto office.
Bill
Tilford has joined the Canada
Pension Plan Investment Board to become its Vice-President and Head
of Global Securities. He previously worked at Connor, Clark & Lunn.
August
Cruikshanks has returned to Hewitt
Associates after a five-year absence. He has been appointed director
of research for its Canadian investment consulting practice. August left in
2003 to become managing director, public market investments at OPSEU pension
trust, a large public sector pension plan organization. He
previously worked at Hewitt between 1998 and 2003.
Chris
Walker has joined Invesco Trimark as Vice President
of Institutional Sales, where he will be responsible for growing Invesco Trimark’s
DC business in Canada. Chris brings 17 years of experience in the pension and
investment industry.
Aon Consulting

Mike Leslie has been promoted to Vice-President while Jeremy
Bell in Vancouver and Claudia Gagné in Montreal
have both been promoted to Senior Consultant. As well, Mathieu Boivin
in Montreal has been promoted to Consultant.
Legal
Susan G. Seller
has joined Bennett Jones LLP as a partner in the Toronto office.
Her practice focuses on all aspects of pension and employee benefits law, with
particular experience in advising clients on matters relating to plan governance,
administration and compliance, pension fund investment, executive compensation,
and pension and benefit issues arising in corporate reorganizations, mergers,
acquisitions and divestitures.
