BC Hydro, Vancity, ABB, Ubisoft and Costco are Canada’s five best employers, according to a new ranking.
Canada’s Best Employers list, published by Statista in partnership with Forbes, includes 250 companies that were chosen across 25 industries. Some 8,000 Canadian employees were asked if they would recommend their employer or any other employers in their industry to a potential employee.

Other employers on the list are Metrolinx, Google, City of Calgary, Queen’s University and FedEx.
Alongside the list of the best employers, the survey learned that the most satisfied Canadian employees work in the “construction, oil and gas operations, minings and chemicals” industry, a surprise considering the volatility and job losses in those industries in 2015 and 2016.
