Equitable Life of Canada has just expanded its online options for submitting group health and dental claims by enhancing its existing EZClaim Online tool.
The insurance company says the improved EZClaim Online, which is already live, will provide plan members with greater choice and convenience while maximizing administration efficiency. Plan members will receive payments in as little as 24 hours, and certain expenses will be available to view online within minutes of submission.
To use this self-service option, members will have to simply sign in to their Equitable Life account and complete the cascading form to submit health and dental claims on the secure and encrypted website.
EZClaim Online will lead plan members through the claim submission process by requesting relevant information about the type of claim being submitted. To help with submission, the system will also offer timely how-to information and definitions of common terms.
EZClaim Online is an addition to the company’s EZClaim Mobile app, which was released in the fall of 2011 and now accounts for more than 25% of claim submissions. Equitable Life expects similar user adoption and submission numbers for EZClaim Online.
