Green Shield Canada is launching a benefits plan analytics tool to help plan sponsors take a closer look at their offerings.

The tool, DATAleap, looks to provide insight on claims trends, key cost drivers and disease state data. It also provides benchmarking tools for plans and demographics analyses.

“Users can explore data in ways that are fast, efficient and convenient,” said Cathy Morrison, GSC’s vice-president of planning and business solutions, in a press release. “Whether you’re trying to figure out what happened, why it happened or what is going to happen, DATAleap guides you through the analytics journey.”

The product comes in three versions: plan insights, predictive analytics and prescriptive analytics. It can also be used as a stand-alone offering to provide insights tailored to specific plan needs.
