Canadian investment managers are more interested in the global market than domestic securities, with a significant majority bullish on emerging market equities, according to Russell Investments’ latest Canadian Investment Manager Outlook.
The survey found that 62% of Canadian investment managers polled were bullish on the outlook for emerging market equities, compared with only 40% in the previous quarter. Although a majority (54%) of managers surveyed remain bullish on Canadian equities, that number is down from 70% in the second quarter.
However, the 75% of those surveyed now feel Canada’s stock market is fairly valued, whereas only 13% felt the same way in the second quarter.
