Alberta controled pensions are invested as PP3 projects into schools and roadways in Alberta. Down side is they are lending this money at a small token of what the market would charge! Nearly free money; no appreication to the pensions!

While on the Pension subject Alberta just got busted on stealing directly from the Pension Funds see: It has been the Conservative dream since their inception to privitize the CPP and, this is just the first step into that field.

The reason given for the public/private option rather than upgrading the CPP was that Alberta held out and protested. Who would have guessed?

However, since that time Alberta got busted for stealing Alberta Pension funds on a grande scale, into the billions.

They got away with pulling the Alberta Heritage Trust down by 90 billion (8 to 12 full provincial budgets paid for out of this fund). Now, they are well under way to doing it with the Pension thanks to Flattery and his crew of deliquents.

The reasons they gave are not only misleading but dishonest.
