Sebastien Betermier is an associate professor of finance at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University and the executive director of the International Centre for Pension Management. A world-renowned expert in pension investing, his articles have appeared in numerous academic journals, including the prestigious Journal of Finance, and have been featured in the Economist, the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times, among others. Betermier is also the faculty director of the McGill International Portfolio Challenge and a member of the pension administration committee for the McGill University pension plan, the C.D. Howe’s pension policy council and the research policy network on household finance at the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
