Russell Investments Canada Ltd. has appointed Andrew Kitchen as managing director, institutional Canada.

In the new role, Kitchen will bring the firm’s multi-asset investment outsourcing solutions, implementation services and strategic advice to Canadian institutional investors. He will also provide strategic direction on best practices in governance, implementation and investment options to the firm’s clients.

“Andrew has worked extensively with organizations to address complex issues, particularly in the areas of investment risk management, de-risking and liability-driven investment, and we are excited to have him lead the way in bringing high-quality solutions to the Canadian institutional marketplace,” said David Steele, president and chief executive officer at Russell Investments Canada, in a news release.

With 25 years of industry experience, Kitchen was previously managing director for institutional investment at SEI Investments Canada Co. Prior to joining SEI in 1998, he was a senior actuary at Morneau Sobeco, which was renamed Morneau Shepell Ltd. in 2011.
