Buck Consultants has launched a new service—Buck Global Investment Advisors (BGIA)—designed to offer pension plan and endowment clients access to a broader range of fund managers and investment strategies from around the world.

BGIA was created to address the needs of clients who are increasingly looking to consider not only locally based investment consulting solutions, but also global best practices. The newly created team comprises more than 50 investment professionals, providing advice to than 400 clients on the investment of assets worth more than US$50 billion.

Services provided by BGIA include the following:

  • customized strategies to reduce the risk of pension investments, which provides more predictable contribution forecasts;
  • global investment manager and technical research to support clients’ needs in all regions;
  • a range of risk-modeling tools to support dynamic asset allocation policies for DB pension plans;
  • governance and fund option reviews for DC plans, including analysis of default fund options;
  • medium-term asset allocation models that offer greater flexibility to long-term investment strategies by allowing clients to make timely investment decisions; and
  • pensions and investment risk management services that allow advisors to take control and responsibility for the active management of DB plan assets on behalf of clients.
