Most Canadians are happy with their jobs

The majority of Canadian employees (72%) are satisfied or very satisfied with their jobs, but 41% of those employees still regularly look for new opportunities.

These are the findings of a new survey by CareerBuilder.ca.

Of the workers who feel satisfied with their jobs, 62% say their co-workers contribute to their work fulfillment.

Other reasons contributing to high job satisfaction include a good salary (55% of employees), a good work/life balance (47%), benefits (42%), liking one’s boss (40%), the ability to make a difference (34%), feeling challenged every day (33%), a quick commute (30%), feeling valued (30%), a flexible schedule or ability to telecommute (27%).

The survey polled more than 500 employees in early 2015.
