Nordstrom Inc. is ramping up its hiring efforts this holiday season by offering new employees up to $650 in incentive pay.
As the busy holiday shopping season kicks off, the retailer, which operates 13 stores across Canada, is hiring seasonal and regular workers at its Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores. In addition to a hiring bonus, hourly and overnight store employees will receive premium pay.

Recently, several employers of frontline staff in Canada, including Whole Foods Market and Starbucks Canada, have beefed up benefits and pay amid “critical staffing shortages” as the coronavirus pandemic drags on.
Nordstrom employees also receive comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, a 20 per cent merchandise discount, as well as an employee charitable match and volunteering program, according to a press release. In addition, it noted eligible employees can receive medical coverage and an employer-matched retirement plan.
