Sun Life Financial is making changes to its global finance leadership team and its investment management team.
Marlene Van den Hoogen is the new senior vice-president and chief financial and operations officer at Sun Life Investment Management. She joined the team in April, after more than eight years at Sun Life Financial, where she held the roles of vice-president of actuarial reporting and analysis and treasurer and head of capital planning. Previously, she was vice-president and chief risk officer at BMO Insurance.
Leigh Chalmers will take on an extended role as senior vice-president of investor relations and capital management at Sun Life Financial. She joined Sun Life in 2017 as a senior vice-president and chief auditor. Before that, she spent more than 20 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada, where she was a partner and chief inclusion officer.
