Sun Life Financial Canada is making adjustments to its leadership teams.
Heading up the newly created client experience office, Eric Monteiro, senior vice-president and chief client experience officer, will head up his own team. Monteiro joined Sun Life in 2016 as chief analytics and engineering officer for individual insurance and wealth. Before that, he was chief strategy and analytics officer at Aimia Inc.

Samantha O’Neill will be taking on the newly created role of vice-president and chief marketing officer for Canada, working with Monteiro. Véronique Dorval will serve as vice-president of client engagement, expanding her scope to the entire country. Kate Nazar, vice-president of the client solutions centre, and Jun Santa, associate vice-president of strategy, planning and enablement, are also on the team.
As a further component of its increased focus on client experience within its wealth and individual insurance businesses, three team members will take on core functions.
Vineet Kochhar is being promoted to senior vice-president of insurance solutions, and Rowena Chan is leaving a position as senior vice-president at TD Wealth Financial Planning to become senior vice-president and president of Sun Life Financial Distributors. And Rick Headrick will serve as president, Sun Life Global Investments and senior vice-president of investment solutions.
