Robert in Vancouver:

Gov’t pharmacare would cost more than we can afford and create thousands more gov’t employees who will collect benefits for decades after they retire. We just can’t afford that. And there would be serious problems with gov’t unions going on strike and shutting pharmacare down. Many people would die or get more sick if the main source of their medicine is on strike. People have lots of options with private drug plans. Leave well enough alone. No, I don’t have any connection to or interest in the medical, insurance or drug industries. I’m just a concerned and realistic tax-payer.
