Standard Life has launched a YouTube Channel to aid pension plan members in understanding their plan’s financial statement and motivate them to become more involved in retirement planning.

The initiative follows a recent Ipsos Reid survey commissioned by Standard Life, which found that 72% of pension plan members believe their financial statement does not contain enough information or is difficult to understand.

The straightforward and jargon-free videos were designed for Standard Life clients participating in group retirement and savings plans, though they may also be useful to anyone with a group plan through an employer.
