Joe Nunes:

Dangerous topic.

When men cut back from working 80 hours a week down to 50 because they want to spend time with a spouse and children, it also hurts their career prospects.

While I don’t doubt there are still all sorts of forms of discrimination, in my mind capitalism is relatively blind to race and gender and opportunity flows to those willing to make the greatest personal sacrifices.

Professor Jordan Peterson makes this point and suggests that maybe women are smarter than men, or at least more balanced, in not giving up everything for the single-minded pursuit of career.
