Evan Siddall, the former chief executive officer of the Alberta Investment Management Corp., has been appointed vice-chair capital markets division at the Bank of Montreal, according to a report by the Financial Post.
It noted Siddall will guide the bank’s industry coverage teams across geographies in an advisory capacity.

He was ousted as CEO at the AIMCo in November 2024 after Alberta’s finance minister determined the organization needed a “major reset” to lower management fees and meet the mandated benchmark returns.
