The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is appointing Dale Burgess executive managing director of equities, effective immediately.
Burgess has been at the investment organization since 1996 and has already been in this role on an interim basis since February, overseeing the equities investment department globally.

Most recently, he was executive managing director of infrastructure and natural resources and was also the head of the INR team for Latin America. The investment organization said he’ll continue to oversee the global INR team in the interim.
“[Burgess] is a seasoned investing leader and highly respected colleague who has made significant contributions over his almost three decades at the plan,” said Gillian Brown, chief investment officer of public and private investments at the Ontario Teachers’, in a press release. “He is well positioned to lead our equities department, which will continue to play an important role in creating value for our members.”
