The Saskatchewan Healthcare Employees’ Pension Plan is appointing Paula Potter as chief executive officer, effective July 1, 2026.

She steps into the CEO role with more than 22 years of experience in the pension sector, including 20 years at the SHEPP, most recently as chief operating officer. She succeeds Alison McKay, who announced her retirement earlier this year.

“Potter brings the experience, judgment and values that align strongly with SHEPP’s mission, priorities, and strategy,” said Jeff Stepan, chair of the SHEPP’s board of trustees, in a press release. “The board is confident that she will build on the strong foundation in place and continue to advance long-term sustainability for our members.”
