Since the announcement of pooled registered pension plans (PRPPs) by the Federal government, plan sponsors and industry experts have been supportive of the idea.

However, everyone is curious, and a bit cautious, to see just how they will work in practice. Frank Swedlove, president of the Canadian Life and Health Assurance Association, explains how both provincial and federal governments are getting involved and what needs to happen for PRPPs to succeed.
