The article is correct when it says that public service employees will not receive a statement this year, however, it is incorrect when it states that employees have not been receiving their pension benefits in a timely manner. The Pension Centre has continued to provide timely and accurate pension benefits since the implementation of Phoenix. In fact, we continually surpass our service standard of 96% each month. – David Stevens, Director General, Government of Canada Pension Centre.

@David Stevens, the article clearly stats that the delay in pension benefits, which by the way is occurring, is a result of delays with the information getting to the pension centre. It doesn’t matter that you complete your cases 96% of the time within service standards if their are many, many cases that you are not even receiving within service standards.

There are enough people lying to the public about this problem, leave it to the professionals.
