Janice Anderson, board member, Canadian Sustainability Standards Board, senior director, technical accounting, ESG compliance, Nutrien Ltd.

Janice Anderson has more than 20 years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience, specializing in agriculture and extractive activities. She’s currently senior director of technical accounting and environmental, social and governance compliance at Nutrien Ltd., a Canadian agriculture company whose purpose is feeding the future. With expertise in securities regulation, accounting standards and standard setting, she’s leading the project to prepare Nutrien for pending regulatory requirements on sustainability disclosures for investors and moving forward with integrated reporting. Anderson is also a board member on the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board.

Prior to joining Nutrien in 2020, she spent five years at the Alberta Securities Commission in the office of the chief accountant and more than a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in its national consulting accounting services office.

Anderson is a member of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board’s international financial reporting standards accounting discussion group, Alberta’s certified public accountant bylaws committee and is a board member for several local non-profit organizations.
