Brandon Weening, executive vice-president, corporate and capital markets finance, OMERS

Brandon Weening is executive vice-president of corporate and capital markets finance at the OMERS. He’s responsible for a team of more than 175 people, leading all of the OMERS’ corporate finance functions, as well as all back- and middle-office functions for the OMERS’ $60 billion capital markets investing businesses.

Weening has been with the OMERS for a decade. He helped lead the establishment of the OMERS’ international financing program in 2019, including its investor relations program and its AAA-rating from a major credit rating agency.

Weening is the OMERS’ management lead for the plan’s audit and actuarial committee and executive sponsor of the OMERS DiversAbilities employee resource group.

He holds a bachelor of commerce honours from Queen's University. He’s also a chartered professional accountant and chartered accountant.
