Speaker
Jocelyn Laidlaw, former anchor, CTV News

In September 2022, Laidlaw was diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer. She underwent radiation and chemotherapy and continues her cancer journey through rigorous monitoring.
She was named the national ambassador for Colorectal Cancer Canada in 2024 and has become an advocate for CRC awareness, screening, early detection and self-advocacy — sharing her journey publicly through social media and interviews across the country.
As a public speaker, Laidlaw uses her experience to encourage Canadians to be strong advocates for their own health and to build resilience through adversity and survivorship.
