Sandra Hanna, chief executive officer, Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada

Since 2019, Sandra Hanna has been the chief executive officer of the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada, following her role as vice-president of pharmacy affairs. In the role, she’s focused on guiding the pharmacy industry through transformation while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders. In 2024, she was appointed to the board of directors of the World Pharmacy Council, where she advocates for the essential role of pharmacies in health-care delivery, driving innovation and advancing international collaboration. Prior to her role at the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada, Hanna provided counsel to pharmacy retailers, manufacturers and service providers as chief innovation officer at Gold Links Health Solutions Ltd.

She’s a graduate of the faculty of pharmacy at the University of Toronto, a practicing pharmacist and has owned and operated multiple independent pharmacies. She completed her masters of law in health law at York University’s Osgoode Hall, as well as the directors education program through the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
