Aaron White, executive director, head, sustainable investing, CIBC Global Asset Management

Aaron White is executive director and head of CIBC Global Asset Management’s sustainable investing activities. He leads the strategy, stewardship and sustainable investing initiatives across the firm globally. White works with the organization’s investment teams to help drive sustainable investing integration and active stewardship and engagement, maintain expertise on emerging global sustainable investing trends and helps clients solve their sustainable investing ambitions.

Prior to his current role, White held successive roles at CIBC Global Asset Management in sustainable investing, client portfolio management and business development, where he helped shape the firm’s approach to sustainable investing. He began his career at a leading Canadian independent asset manager.

White holds a bachelor of education degree from McGill University, the chartered investment manager designation the chartered financial analyst institute’s certificate in ESG investing and the U.K.’s chartered financial analyst certificate in climate change investing.
