Janet Rabovsky , chair, investment committee, Teachers’ Pension Plan (Newfoundland)
Janet Rabovsky has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and is presently employed as the chief investment officer for a family office, Fairwater Capital Corp., as well as chairing the Teachers’ Pension Plan (Newfoundland)’s investment committee and sitting in its board. Over her career, she has provided investment consulting advice to pension funds, endowments, foundations and other pools of money. In addition, she has a strong research background in both public and private markets, including private equity, infrastructure, private credit and real assets. Rabovsky spent time in both Australia and the U.K. during her career, including a role at a semi government asset manager in Melbourne. Earlier in her career, she focused on pension, payroll, accounting and treasury functions for engineering and mining companies. Rabovsky is also an advisor to the OPSEU Pension Trust’s board investment committee and is a member of the investment committee for the Baycrest Foundation.
She graduated from the University of Toronto with a bachelor of arts in English in 1987 and a master’s in business administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business in 1989.
