Yannick Ménard, managing director, pension investments, BMO Pension Plan

Yannick Ménard is responsible for the investment and overall management of BMO’s primary pension plan, leading the development and implementation of investment strategies, risk management and financial management. He oversees the plan’s investments globally, focused on liability-driven fixed income and overlay strategies, public equities and private markets (infrastructure, real estate, hedge funds and credit).

Prior to joining BMO in 2011, Ménard spent 10 years with the Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System, where he was responsible for the plan’s external funds allocation, hedge funds investments and risk management for capital markets. He also worked as a pension and investment consultant with KPMG and Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He’s a chartered financial analyst and a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
