Shalini Gambhir, research officer, Colorectal Cancer Resource and Action Network, member, All.Can Canada

Shalini Gambhir is the research officer at the Colorectal Cancer Resource and Action Network, where she oversees research, advocacy and national initiatives to advance equitable cancer care across Canada. CCRAN is an active member of All.Can Canada, a pan-Canadian network focused on swift, accurate, equitable and appropriately delivered cancer diagnosis.

With more than 15 years of experience across clinical care, government and the non-profit sector, she brings a unique blend of frontline insight and system-level strategy. Gambhir began her career as a medical radiation therapist supporting oncology patients, where she witnessed firsthand the gaps and inequities within the health-care system. She was recognized for her contribution to the development and launch of Vancouver’s first head and neck cancer support program, a project designed to address key structural barriers to care. These experiences shaped her commitment to improving the system in ways that better reflect the needs of patients and to strengthening patient-centred models of care. She remains dedicated to ensuring that the perspectives of patients, families and underserved communities drive the future of cancer policy in Canada
