Anthony Esposti, chief executive officer, Community Addictions Peer Support Association

Anthony Esposti, chief executive officer of the Community Addictions Peer Support Association leads an accomplished and energetic team of subject matter experts in their work to dismantle and transform stigma and discrimination for people addressing their substance use health in Canada. The CAPSA’s work is aimed at creating an environment where people can discuss their relationship with substances without fear of judgement, discrimination or harm with the goal of improving health outcomes for people who use/d substances. Esposti comes from a varied background in the private sector, having spent 25 years in corporate and investment banking for Canadian financial institutions. He was also an executive on several not-for-profit boards of directors and is past chair of the CAPSA itself. Esposti’s work at the CAPSA is informed by his own living experience with an alcohol use disorder, with which he currently lives well.
