Joelle Faulkner, founder, chief executive officer, Area One Farms

Joelle Faulkner is the founder and chief executive officer of Area One Farms, Canada’s largest independent farmland investment manager. Area One partners with Canadian farmers to expand their farms and improve their land’s productivity. Prior to establishing Area One Farms, Faulkner worked at Bain & Co., Morgan Stanley, Onex Corp. and Stanford University. She holds degrees in engineering and business from Western University; law from the University of Oxford; and a master’s of law and certificate in biodesign from Stanford University. She’s a Rhodes and Fulbright scholarship recipient, a member of the New York bar association, one of Canada’s top 40 under 40 and the winner of an AusCan award in 2023.
