Sandra Ramirez, vice-president, economic research, OMERS

Sandra Ramirez is a vice-president of economic research at the Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System. She joined the OMERS in 2016 and is responsible for providing insights on the short- and long-run global economic and financial outlook to the OMERS’ stakeholders and investment teams. Prior to joining the OMERS, Ramirez worked in the financial markets department at the Bank of Canada, where she focused on research topics at the intersection of monetary policy and financial markets. She holds a master’s of science in finance from the University of British Columbia and an economics specialization degree from the University of Toronto.
