Akhil Pandit Pautra, senior manager, clinical services, health claims administration and fraud, waste and abuse, Express Scripts Canada

Akhil Pandit Pautra leads national programs at Express Scripts Canada across several business areas. Over the past few years he has held progressive leadership roles focused on enhancing operational efficiency and safeguarding drug benefits plans through fraud, waste and abuse prevention.

Pandit Pautra provides strategic oversight and clinical expertise to support the development and implementation of programs that respond to the dynamic and evolving landscape of drug benefits in Canada. He works closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risk and uphold the integrity of benefits plans.

Prior to joining Express Scripts Canada, Pandit Pautra held a pharmacy management role at Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. and was on the Discipline and Inquiries, Complaints and Reports committees at the Ontario College of Pharmacists, contributing to regulatory oversight and professional standards in Ontario’s pharmacy sector.

He holds a master of business administration from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and is passionate about applying artificial intelligence to drive innovation, accountability and sustainability in health-care systems.
