David Drewery is associate director of the Work-Learn Institute at the University of Waterloo, where he leads research on work-integrated learning and the future of work. He’s also an associate editor of the world’s only journal dedicated to WIL, the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning. Drewery collaborates with industry, government and education partners to improve talent practices and foster inclusive, purpose-driven workplaces. He frequently speaks to professional audiences about generational work values, talent attraction and retention strategies. His research is grounded in evidence and informed by practice, helping organizations adapt to evolving workforce expectations.
