Nicole Musicco is the co-founder and managing partner of Square Nine Capital, an opportunistic private credit fund. Prior to Square Nine Capital, she was the chief investment officer at the California Public Employees' Retirement System — a $500-billion U.S. pension plan. She was previously a partner at private equity firm RedBird Capital Partnerspredominately in sports, media and entertainment. Additionally, Musicco spent more than 16 years in a broad range of senior investment leadership roles at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, overseeing private and public equity asset classes, and establishing the pension fund’s presence in Asia by building out its Pan-Asian investment platform based in Hong Kong.
