Karlan Patel, vice-president, ETF investment strategist, State Street Investment Management

Karlan Patel is a strategist at State Street Investment Management with a focus on portfolio construction and exchange-traded funds. He’s responsible for presenting market insight to intermediary and institutional clients and producing thought leadership internally and externally. Prior to State Street, Patel worked in Vanguard’s portfolio analytics and consulting department where he conducted portfolio reviews and presented thought leadership to aid external advisors with portfolio construction. He was a subject matter expert on portfolio analysis, ETF and mutual fund market trends and Vanguard investment methodology. Patel has a bachelor of science in applied mathematics from the University of Arizona. He holds the chartered financial analyst designation as well as FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
