Steve Foerster, finance professor, Western University

Steve Foerster is an author and professor of finance at the Ivey Business School at Western University. His most recent books are Trailblazers, Heroes, and Crooks: Stories to Make You a Smarter Investor (Wiley) and In Pursuit of the Perfect Portfolio: The Stories, Voices, and Key Insights of the Pioneers Who Shaped the Way We Invest (with Andrew Lo, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management, Princeton University Press). Foerster is a member of Western University’s pension board. He has also written three textbooks and more than 100 case studies and technical notes in the areas of investments and financial management. He has published more than 50 articles in journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Finance and Financial Analysts Journal. He received a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and is a chartered financial analyst.
