Valérie Fernandez, Senior advisor, workplace health best practices and strategic support, group insurance, Beneva

A trained kinesiologist, Valérie Fernandez uses her passion, energy and creativity to successfully mobilize organizational teams to achieve their health goals. Determined to pass on her passion and motivation to practice physical activity, she has also been teaching various group classes in fitness centres for over six years.

As an organizational health advisor at Beneva, she uses her nearly 20 years of experience to develop and implement workplace health and wellness initiatives. Accredited by the Healthy Enterprises Group for the “healthy enterprise” standard and approach, she knows how to guide employers in adopting the best practices in health promotion and prevention and in workplace attendance management to build a health culture within the organization.

Fernandez can most often be found leading various training sessions with organizations and sharing her experience and passion as a conference speaker. In 2015, she showcased her skills as director of participant services at the 50th Quebec Games finale. Leading the health services, accommodation, food and transportation teams for the 5000 athletes and coaches, she saw herself grow from this adventure in the world of event planning. Fernandez is a kinesiology graduate from Université Laval.
