Dr. Warren Shepell, psychologist, human resources consultant, EHN Canada
Dr. Warren Shepell is a pioneer of employee assistance programs in Canada. He made mental-health counselling accessible and at no cost to millions of Canadians through their workplaces and created career opportunities for thousands of counsellors. While he’s counselled several thousand clients himself through his EAP firm, he and his counselors have helped more than five million clients over the years with their personal and emotional issues.
At an organizational level, Shepell has brought wisdom and years of experience to many areas in well-being, communications, sales, marketing and public relations as it relates to mental health and wellness. In addition, he has consulted in many diverse areas of human resources including leadership, management, training, harassment and bullying prevention. He has worked as an advisor to large organizations like the Human Resources Professionals Association, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Stevenson Kellogg.
Shepell graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a PhD in counselling and clinical psychology. He holds a master’s degree in industrial psychology from the University of Waterloo and a bachelor of arts majoring in psychology from the University of Manitoba.
