Krista Hogan, director, product development, health solutions, Sun Life

Krista Hogan is the director of product development focused on health and dental group benefits at Sun Life. She’s passionate about driving diversity, equity and inclusion within group benefits plans. Through enhancements to extended health-care and spending account products, she’s helping Sun Life plan members access new coverage and supporting Sun Life plan sponsors on their DEI journeys. Her team brought to market industry-first inclusive family-building coverage. Most recently, she has been focused on closing the gender health gap for women through group benefits coverage and solutions.

Hogan holds a bachelor of commerce honours degree from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. During her more than 12 years with Sun Life, she has held several positions in marketing, project management and operations. She leads the Sun Life health allies acting for change forum and women’s health working committee. This has enabled her to develop strong relationships and a deep understanding of the organization and client needs, which she leverages to drive product innovation.
