Tobin joins BMO Capital Markets

The former premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, Brian Tobin, has joined BMO Capital Markets as its vice-chair.

In this role, his primary responsibilities will include senior client coverage and business development.

Most recently, Tobin has been a senior business advisor with law firm Dentons Canada LLP (formerly Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP) in Toronto.

He served as premier of Newfoundland and Labrador from 1996 to 2000 and was also a member of Parliament from 1980 to 1996 and again from 2000 to 2002. His federal political career included positions as fisheries and oceans minister and industry minister.
