Ed Barrett has been appointed to Medavie’s board of directors.
“Ed’s diverse leadership experience at the regional, national and international level will be a great asset to our board of directors,” says the board’s chair, Steve Parker.
Barrett is co-CEO of Barrett Corp., a private investment and management company with operations in Canada and the United States.
He is also chairman of NB Power and serves on the board of Wajax Industries, Nav Canada, Atlantic Industries and Apex Industries. Barrett is the past chair of the New Brunswick Business Council and was inducted into the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame in 2010.
And he’s the co-founder, shareholder and board member of Xplornet Communications, a rural broadband provider in Canada.
Barrett joins Steve Parker, Pierre-Yves Julien, Michael B. Decter, Yves Doucet, Bernard Lord, H. Wade MacLauchlan, Jean-Pierre Provencher, Carol K. Snider, Marian Walsh and Kim West as the newest member of the Medavie board.
