Ted Carmichael has left OMERS after spending five years there as managing director, global macro portfolio.
His LinkedIn profile lists his new job title as founding partner, Ted Carmichael Global Macro.
Prior to working for OMERS, he spent 14 years at JP Morgan Canada where he was the chief Canadian economist.
Carmichael also worked at Burns Fry between 1989 and 1994, which later merged with Nesbitt Thomson and is now known as BMO Nesbitt Burns.
