Ivanhoé Cambridge makes two appointments

Ivanhoé Cambridge, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec’s real estate subsidiary, has made two appointments to its senior management team.

Rita-Rose Gagné, until now responsible for strategy at the company, is the executive vice-president, growth markets, effective immediately.

“There are many investment opportunities; the conditions for success are complex and require very strong strategic and transactional abilities, areas in which Rita-Rose excels,” says Daniel Fournier, chairman and CEO of Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Mario D. Morroni is appointed executive vice-president, strategy and capital allocation, effective Jan. 13, 2014.

He’s currently president and CEO of the Association de bienfaisance et de retraite des policiers et policières de la Ville de Montréal, the City of Montreal’s police retirement and charity fund.

“As he has served on our board of directors and its audit committee for several years, Mr. Morroni is already very familiar with our organization, the real estate industry and its challenges,” Fournier adds.
