Oxford Properties, the real estate arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System, is appointing Sara Queen as executive vice-president and head of the U.S., effective July 20, 2026.
Based in New York, she’ll oversee the strategic leadership, performance and growth of Oxford’s U.S. business, which manages approximately US$19 billion in assets and accounts for roughly 40 per cent of the company’s global portfolio across equity and credit investments.

Queen joins Oxford from MetLife Investment Management, where she was head of real estate equity, leading a US$38 billion real estate platform. Prior to MetLife, she held senior leadership roles at Mapletree Investments, Brookfield Corp. and Clarion Partners.
“The U.S. represents Oxford’s largest investment market, so it was absolutely essential for us to find a leader with a track record as impressive as Sara Queen’s,” said Eric Plesman, president and chief executive officer of Oxford Properties, in a press release.
